We are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced European Operations Administrator to join our busy and successful European Operations Department and play a key role in ensuring the seamless coordination and delivery of our services.
Ideally, you will have previous experience working within Transport & Logistics Operations along with exceptional customer service and administration skills. Please note: Location for this role is important - ideally you will reside north side of Bristol, M5 Corridor, Gloucester or Stroud areas for easy driving access to the office. Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:
- Experience of working within a customer service or administrative role desired.
- Experience working in a logistics role is desirable but not essential.
- Pass Grade in GCSE English & Maths or Equivalent.
- Computer literate and able to learn how to use new systems effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
- Confident using Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Good attention to detail when handling data.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise workload.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop strong service relationships with customers and overseas agents to deliver efficient and effective service, including regular updates and ETAs.
- Ensure smooth internal communication between key departments—Customs, Transport, and Warehouse—to facilitate efficient loading and transport of customer goods.
- Create new shipments on our Transport Management System (TMS).
- Review customer invoices to ensure customs compliance in both the UK and EU.
- Provide completed load lists to the warehouse, manifests to agents, and Customs instructions while highlighting any discrepancies during the loading process.
- Resolve and manage customer/agent queries professionally and efficiently.
- Coordinate special collections and resolve issues with third-party hauliers as necessary.
- Collaborate with the team to align and streamline internal processes.
