About Orchard Court Care Home:
Orchard Court is located near the centre of Brigg. The home provides personal care including dementia care for 39 residents.
Role Responsibilities as a Senior Care Assistant:
- Providing the highest possible levels of care in supporting and assisting our residents in all aspects of daily living.
- Promoting residents’ independence with a focus on choice, dignity and respect, and promoting their physical and emotional wellbeing.
- Leading your shift to ensure high standards are maintained and other members of the team feel supported.
- Completing the daily medication rounds and documenting consistently without errors.
- Promoting good practice in all aspects of care, challenging poor practice from other team members.
Role Requirements as a Senior Care Assistant:
- Relevant Professional qualification (e.g., Registered Nurse or NVQ/Diploma minimum level 3 in Health and Social Care).
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Care Assistant in a residential/nursing home setting.
- Awareness of the principles of Person‑Centred Care Planning.
- Understanding of the prevention of abuse of vulnerable adults.
- Reside within 30 minutes of the Home.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Leadership and people skills.
- A caring and nurturing attitude.
- Positive and enthusiastic outlook.
- Written and oral communication skills.
