Responsible for the promotion of The Tank Museum, they work on and offline to raise public awareness of the museum, its collections, exhibitions, events, membership schemes and other revenue generating functions. We are seeking a talented Senior Producer to play a leading role in the creation and evolution of The Tank Museum's media output. This is a hands-on role for an accomplished visual storyteller with a keen, creative eye, strong editorial judgement, technical expertise, and an ability to contribute at every stage of the production pipeline. The role requires a collaborative team player with applications welcomed from candidates with relevant transferable skills from across social, digital and traditional media backgrounds.

The Senior Producer will work under the supervision of the Media Production Manager and with the wider Marketing & Media team on a range of content supporting the objectives of The Tank Museum. This will primarily involve filming, editing and delivering content for our YouTube platforms, while also assisting with producing adverts, exhibitions, and events. They will also support the Media Production Manager in developing, piloting and diversifying our content offering.

Key Accountabilities
  • Uphold high creative and technical standards across all audiovisual output, ensuring work is ambitious, engaging and aligned with the museum's values.
  • Contribute ideas proactively, bringing enthusiasm, creativity and editorial judgement to the development of new content.
  • Support production planning in collaboration with the Media Production Coordinator, helping to ensure projects are well‐prepared and delivered efficiently.
  • Work closely with senior colleagues and the wider Media Team to create platform‐specific content, supporting effective social and digital distribution.
  • Film and record video and audio to a high standard, visualising shots and taking responsibility for lighting, sound, and equipment set‐ups, as well as packing down after shoots.
  • Ensure appropriate equipment is selected, available and maintained.
  • Work in collaboration with the Research Team to support storytelling and editorial accuracy.
  • Edit video and audio into complete, engaging videos for digital channels, including, where necessary, colour grading, motion graphics and integration of archive imagery.
  • Apply computer graphics, special effects and emerging tools where appropriate to enhance content.
  • Implement feedback constructively and collaboratively from the Media Production Manager and other stakeholders to refine and improve output.
  • File, organise and manage assets and footage in accordance with established systems and best practice.
  • Enthusiastic about experimenting with new formats and ways of reaching audiences.
  • Work collaboratively, openly and inclusively with colleagues across the museum to support shared goals and successful delivery.
What you’ll bring
  • Hands-on experience in a media/video production role with either a YouTube channel, independent production company or broadcaster is essential. Along with experience in self-shooting, editing and fluency in key online communications channels and social media.
  • A degree and/or appropriate professional rated qualification in media production.
  • You will be highly skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and in the operation and maintenance of camera and audio equipment.
  • Solid understanding of technical principles.
