Purpose
Dash Express, a member of the UPS delivery network, is a leading logistics provider in the South-West, committed to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.
In this Multi-drop Delivery Driver role, you’ll deliver and collect parcel consignments safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service at every stop.
We provide everything you need to succeed, including a modern fleet, fuel, uniform, and support infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards, health & safety procedures and road safety laws.
- Load and offload parcels from vehicles, whilst sorting for efficient delivery.
- Accurately check and scan items out for delivery using a handheld terminal (HHT), reporting any discrepancies to your Line Manager.
- Complete pre-departure vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is safe to operate and report any problems to you Line Manager.
- Report any problems to your line manager throughout the day.
- At the end of day, you will return to depot, unload and label any of non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are accounted for on the HHT.
- Attend driver briefings and debriefings with the manager on duty.
- Ensure vehicle is cleaned and refuelled for next day.
- What We’re Looking For
- A full UK driving licence.
- The physical ability to manually lift and move (sometimes heavy) parcels at a high volume.
- Previous driving experience.
- Good time keeping and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills to be able to provide support to our customers on the phone and in person.
- All of our staff must pass a basic DBS check.
