Purcell is looking for a Bid Manager with a passion for architecture to join our London studio. In this role you will work closely with partners, the Head of Bids and the wider work‑winning team, managing and developing key, high‑value bids, overseeing the Bids Team workload and supporting strategic ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Manage the end‑to‑end bid process following internal bid procedures and workflow.
- Use Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, to produce high‑quality bid submissions, reviewing information to ensure consistency and accuracy.
- Maintain internal bid library filing and housekeeping, including staff CVs, project case studies and photographs.
- Report on and analyse the principles of winning bids, providing insights to stakeholders for wins and losses.
- Implement work‑winning strategies to secure new projects across a range of sectors.
- Track and communicate regional opportunities across a variety of channels.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior partners, to produce proposals and presentation materials.
- Take ownership and initiative to implement improvements or efficiencies.
- Collaborate with the wider work‑winning team.
- Provide line management of the bids team.
Requirements
- Experience in end‑to‑end bid process, ideally within the architectural industry.
- Experience in team line management, overseeing workload and providing leadership.
- Experience interfacing with senior management.
- Strong time‑management and organisational skills.
- Confidence working with procurement portals and various submission methods.
- Bid writing and editing skills.
- Proactive collaboration with stakeholders, with an ability to adapt communication style.
- Excellent understanding of frameworks and procurement methods.
