An opportunity has arisen in our London Building Consultancy team for an experienced and highly motivated individual to become part of our successful and expanding team. Joining our Building Consultancy team, you will play a key role in delivering support to our client base and further expanding it. You will work closely with colleagues across disciplines to provide comprehensive property consultancy services, further enhancing your own and our reputation in the market. Responsibilities- Technical Advisory Services
- Preparation of detailed condition reports tailored to the needs of property owners, investors, and tenants
- Technical Due Diligence surveys and reporting to evaluate buildings prior to acquisition of either leasehold or freehold interests by identifying risks such as hidden defects, compliance issues, or environmental hazards
- Building Pathology surveys and reporting to assess structural integrity, defects, and planned or reactive maintenance needs of buildings
- Preparation of interim and terminal schedules of dilapidations to support negotiated settlements with tenants on behalf of our landlord clients
- Preparation of dilapidation assessments to support commercially aware and negotiated exit strategies from lease agreements at lease determination however this arises
- Party wall inspections and advice to owners in connection with adjacent works and boundary related issues/disputes
- Project Delivery Services
- Management of internal teams and external design and construction teams in the specification, procurement and delivery of a varied range of project related work from new build through refurbishment and fit‑out work to maintenance delivery programmes for private and public sector clients
The successful candidate will also be required to:
- Remain current and abreast of current legislation that apply to the RICS competencies
- Peer review reports of colleagues as part of our QA process
- Ensure the correct use of pre‑defined Vail Williams reporting templates, provide constructive feedback before, during and after and assist the development of colleagues in this area
- Undertake qualitative audits of written documentation in line with discipline processes as required
- Secure new instructions by leading a team with both internal & external collaboration partners
- Good interpersonal and client facing skills
- Similar experience in a client‑facing position
- Business development experience
- Experience with professional transaction work and project delivery including managing client expectations
- Referral and networking experience
