Our colleagues at Five are a market leading supplier of Bariatric and specialist equipment, specialising in beds, mattresses, seating, toileting, and hoisting equipment for acute, community, long term, and home care.

Five is built on years of extensive care and specialist knowledge in the sector with a valued and customer supporting consultative approach to ensure patients have the right equipment to meet their needs and care teams are equipped to deliver safe and comfortable care to all patients.

We are seeking a capable individual to join Five in the position of Technician at our depot in Aldridge. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be part of a great team and work environment at a growing company.

Our Technician's have the opportunity to earn up to Β£10k yearly on top of annual earnings.

As a Technician, you will provide support to the Aldridge area and team by delivering, collecting and providing basic training on medical devices as part of the service offered to our customers in the NHS, Long Term Care and Private Individuals.

Key tasks associated with the role are as follows:

  • Deliver/install and provide 'in service instruction' on all equipment ensuring equipment is fully functional and users are aware of operating and emergency procedures.
  • Collect used equipment from customers premises ensuring this is processed in accordance with the company's infection control procedures.
  • Respond to breakdowns in the field and exchange faulty products, where required, and complete all necessary documentation.
  • Ensure all equipment and products are serviceable, prepared, and maintained to a high standard and ensure equipment is available as and when requested.
  • Report all service-related issues to Line Manager and complete any necessary documentation to record fault.
  • Ensure all jobs/works are completed either via electronic device or hard copy, liaising with the Customer Service Team where necessary.
  • As and when required, assist and support laundry activities to ensure that rental products undergo full decontamination, service, and maintenance procedures.

This list is not exhaustive and the postholder will be expected to undertake other duties for which the postholder is suitably qualified and experienced to undertake.

About you:

  • Able to work full-time and participate in a fully paid on-call rota.
  • Experience of delivery and/or installations
  • Experience gained in a medical devices/ healthcare environment is desirable
  • Ability to prioritise work and amend route plans throughout the day
  • A 'can do' attitude and team orientated approach. Winncare has a great team, so the ability to develop excellent relationships is advantageous
  • Ability to work on own initiative and have a methodological, practical approach to their work
  • Good knowledge of assigned regions around Aldridge
  • Ability to complete physically demanding duties, such as lifting mattresses and loading. This role may require working in limited spaces on occasion.

Successful candidates will be required to have a DBS check which will be company funded.
