Conrad Energy is seeking ambitious, customer-focused sales and business development professionals to join our growing electricity supply team. We are open to candidates across a range of levels, from entry-level candidates looking to start their career in electricity supply and renewable Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), through to Sales Executives and Junior Account Managers. These roles support the growth of our direct and TPI sales channels, working with commercial, SME and industrial customers to deliver electricity supply and renewable energy solutions. This is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in:

The Job

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and acquire new customers in the commercial, SME, and industrial segments through direct sales and TPI partnerships.
  • Collaborate with TPIs to ensure they are effectively promoting the company’s products and services.
  • Develop and present customised proposals, pricing, and contracts that address customer energy needs.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with TPIs, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
  • Provide TPIs with ongoing training, product updates, and sales materials to enhance their ability to promote the company’s services.
  • Monitor and evaluate TPI performance, ensuring high standards of representation and compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for TPI queries, offering timely resolutions to ensure satisfaction and efficiency.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Foster strong relationships with direct clients and key decision‑makers within their organisations.
  • Conduct regular follow‑ups to ensure customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross‑selling.
  • Support Conrad Energy’s presence at trade shows and exhibitions.
  • Offer guidance to customers on energy procurement strategies, tariff options, and cost‑saving opportunities.

Market Intelligence and Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and activity records in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular performance reports on direct sales and TPI channel activities to management.

Collaboration and Coordination

  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of sales and service delivery.
  • Support marketing campaigns and initiatives targeting the commercial and industrial customer base, as well as TPI partners.

These roles offer a structured pathway from entry‑level into fully‑fledged sales, business development or account management positions within electricity supply and renewable energy markets.

Education and experience

  • Entry‑level candidates: Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and a genuine interest in energy markets, electricity supply and renewable PPAs.
  • Sales/BD roles: Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, or customer‑facing roles is desirable.
  • More experienced candidates: 2+ years’ experience in B2B sales, account management, TPI channels or the energy/utilities sector. Knowledge of UK electricity markets, supply contracts or renewable PPAs is advantageous but not essential.
