About the Role
- Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to individuals with complex physical, sensory, and cognitive needs.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans using specialist clinical skills.
- Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
- Promote dignity, autonomy, respect, and meaningful engagement in all aspects of care.
- Support, guide, and supervise support staff to deliver excellent standards of care.
- Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and external professionals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, quality assurance processes, and evidence-based practice.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
- Registered Nurse status: RN1/RNA (Adult Nursing), RNLD (Learning Disability Nursing), or equivalent, with a current NMC PIN.
- Experience of working in a person-centred, compassionate care environment.
- Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating care programmes.
- Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Ability to use clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
- Willingness to work on a shared rota, that includes nights and weekends.
- A proactive, positive, and resilient approach to care.
- A full clean driving licence (or willingness to drive Trust vehicles).
- Experience in administering medication via gastrostomy, deep/oral suctioning, and working with physically or cognitively disabled adults.
- Experience in a care home environment.
