About the Role

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care tailored to individuals with complex physical, sensory, and cognitive needs.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans using specialist clinical skills.
  • Work closely within a multidisciplinary team to provide safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
  • Promote dignity, autonomy, respect, and meaningful engagement in all aspects of care.
  • Support, guide, and supervise support staff to deliver excellent standards of care.
  • Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and external professionals.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, quality assurance processes, and evidence-based practice.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

  • Registered Nurse status: RN1/RNA (Adult Nursing), RNLD (Learning Disability Nursing), or equivalent, with a current NMC PIN.
  • Experience of working in a person-centred, compassionate care environment.
  • Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating care programmes.
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Ability to use clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
  • Willingness to work on a shared rota, that includes nights and weekends.
  • A proactive, positive, and resilient approach to care.
  • A full clean driving licence (or willingness to drive Trust vehicles).
  • Experience in administering medication via gastrostomy, deep/oral suctioning, and working with physically or cognitively disabled adults.
  • Experience in a care home environment.
