Salary: £12.24/hr
Hours: Zero-hour contract, but typically Monday - Friday, 9.30am - 2.30pm.
We are a charity founded in 1954 and have a number of adult and children's residential homes, including an outstanding school, on-site speech therapy, physiotherapy and hydro-therapy services. We have achieved a reputation of attaining very high service standards, working with children, young people and adults who have complex and multiple physical disabilities and associated communication, sensory and learning difficulties.
Day-to-day duties:
- To prepare hot meals, salads, sandwiches, potato products and sauces, including assembling food items, baking and decorating cakes and desserts and preparing cooked items to service standards.
- Comply with food safety, health and safety and COSHH legislation and Trust policies and procedures.
- Manage stock and place orders to ensure correct levels of stock are maintained in line service instructions, keeping waste to a minimum.
- Cash handling including daily cashing up and balancing of float.
- To follow service instructions ensuring standards are kept high.
- Cleaning to a standard required to maintain a 5* rating.
