The Ferns Primary Academy is offering a fixed term contract for an Admin Assistant position. This is a part-time role, requiring 12.5 hours per week from Monday to Friday, specifically from 8am to 10.30am, for 40 weeks per year, including term time plus one week and INSET days.
Salary: £23,859 - £26,014 FTE (£7,244 - £7,898 actual salary) depending on experience.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a valued member of our academy staff team. In this position, you will be supporting the Headteacher and admin officer team to provide administrative support and a general welfare service to children.
Personal Skills and Qualities:- Experience of working in a school environment, ideally in a school office.
- English and Maths GCSE at grade C or equivalent.
- Competent in use of IT.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Sensitive to the needs of young children.
- First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training.
- Punctual and very reliable with an excellent attendance record.
- Understanding of the need for professionalism and high levels of confidentiality at all times.
- Able to interact well with all visitors to the school, both in person and on the telephone.
- Able to cope with the demands of a busy office and multi-task.
