Hollis is a leading international property consultancy working across real estate, infrastructure and construction. Our reputation is built on insight, expertise and collaboration, helping clients make informed decisions in complex markets. We are looking for a Researcher & Writer to play a key role in strengthening Hollis' market position through high-quality research, analysis and thought leadership content. The Researcher & Writer will undertake in-depth market research and produce compelling articles, reports and insights that position Hollis as a market leader. This role supports brand positioning, business development and sector growth by analysing trends, identifying opportunities and translating data into clear, engaging content for internal and external audiences. You will work closely with sector heads, business development, communications and bid teams, contributing to a strong culture of knowledge sharing across the business.
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality articles to support Hollis' brand and sector positioning.
- Produce a comprehensive sector update report every six months.
- Identify research needs across services, sectors, clients and regions, and deliver clear, actionable outputs.
- Use CoStar to compile and analyse data including: Top Owners, Top Buyers and Sellers (transactions), Client portfolios and transactions, Asset information and lease expiry data.
- Conduct competitor analysis and develop target research lists.
- Respond to ad hoc research requests accurately and to tight deadlines.
- Manage and track research requests using monday.com to ensure visibility and effective workflow.
- Monitor key media and research sources (including CoStar, Green Street, EG and Property Week) and circulate relevant news and insights across the business.
- Act as Meeting Lead for sector meetings, attending six-monthly sector meetings to coordinate actions and progress.
- Produce sector update PowerPoint presentations covering market updates, news, developments and opportunities.
- Liaise with the Bid Team on the collation and updating of sector brochures.
- Work with sector heads to support business development activity and targeting.
- Liaise with the Business Development Executive and Internal Communications Executive on regular Commercial Development Bulletins, explaining what the data shows and how it can be used.
- Work with the Business Development Executive to produce regular updates and content for Hollisphere.

You will be a curious, analytical and articulate researcher with a strong ability to turn data into meaningful insight. You will enjoy working collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and contributing to thought leadership that influences both clients and colleagues.
Skills & Experience
- Strong research, analytical and writing skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings clearly and concisely.
- Experience using market intelligence platforms such as CoStar (or similar).
- Confident producing reports, presentations and written content for senior stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Comfortable working across multiple sectors and with a wide range of stakeholders.
