At Hollis, our MEP Engineering team works across some of the UK's most interesting commercial, industrial and mixed-use property portfolios, delivering practical technical advice throughout the property lifecycle.
We're looking for an M&E Engineer or Senior M&E Engineer to join our growing London team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload combining technical surveys, dilapidations, due diligence and engineering consultancy.
The role:
You will work closely with surveyors, project managers and technical specialists to provide expert M&E advice across a broad range of instructions.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out M&E building and condition surveys
Preparing reports for technical due diligence and acquisitions
Supporting dilapidations assessments and settlement negotiations
Inspecting mechanical and electrical installations and advising on repair, reinstatement and lifecycle requirements
Undertaking schedules of condition and pre-acquisition surveys
Advising clients on maintenance liabilities, compliance and asset performance
Working alongside our Building Surveying and Dilapidations teams on lease-end and refurbishment projects
Developing client relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
Your profile:
We're interested in speaking with candidates who have:
A degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
Experience carrying out building services surveys within the commercial property sector
Knowledge of dilapidations, landlord & tenant matters or technical due diligence
Experience preparing technical reports for clients
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Chartered status (MCIBSE, MIET or equivalent) or ambition to achieve chartership
