Hollis' continued expansion within our Building Surveying team means we are looking to add to our surveying team in the London office. This role includes a wide variety of industrial refurbishments and ESG‐focused projects, providing a fantastic opportunity for someone to work closely with some of Hollis' key stakeholders and clients. We are on the lookout for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor who is ready to hit the ground running. This role offers fantastic exposure to a variety of high‐profile clients, ensuring that no two days are the same. You will have the chance to expand your expertise into other areas of surveying as desired. Whether it's engaging in professional work such as dilapidation/pre‐acquisition surveys, party wall matters, or project monitoring, this role promises a wealth of opportunities for professional growth and development.
Main Responsibilities
- Take the lead on a range of refurbishment projects from £250k – £10m value focusing on industrial and logistics, with the opportunity to take on other commercial areas (office, retail etc).
- Effectively manage a strong pipeline of work and act as a key point of contact for some of Hollis' top clients.
- Actively contribute to the development of service offering, support junior surveyors/graduates and the wider team.
- Take on more business development responsibilities as desired, source new work, cross‐sell Hollis' services and network to grow your client base.
- Provide excellent client care, take ownership and manage relationships effectively.
- Act as project lead, running the project from start to finish including invoicing, specifications, budgets and WIP.
Requirements
- MRICS.
- Experience carrying out refurbishment work and projects within values up to £10m+.
- Commercially minded with experience in the industrial sector.
- Confident to lead projects and take ownership.
- An interest in ESG‐focused projects is advantageous.
- Excellent communicator and ability to manage workload effectively.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
