We are Hollis, a dynamic and forward-thinking multi-disciplinary organisation dedicated to providing innovative solutions across the property lifecycle. We are excited to expand our growing team in Scotland and are recruiting for another Fire Engineer to join us (Senior/Principal or Associate level). This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact our newly established Building Safety and Fire service, working closely with the existing service lead.

Our new service will work closely with our existing services, leveraging our Hollis One Team approach to deliver comprehensive, interdisciplinary solutions. With a robust pipeline of existing building safety and fire work and the potential to influence every stage of the property lifecycle—from buying and leasing to designing, building, operating, maintaining, upgrading, retrofitting, and selling—this role offers unparalleled growth and professional development opportunities.
We are looking for an energetic, passionate, and entrepreneurial individual to join us in this exciting venture. As part of our team, you will have the chance to contribute to the next phase of Hollis' journey, particularly within the context of the Building Safety Act, the Hackitt Review, and the Grenfell Inquiry.
Main Responsibilities- Create compelling proposals for clients.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Deliver value to clients and solve problems across the property lifecycle and service products, including:
- Lender due diligence
- Planning Gateway One fire statement
- Government funding application management and delivery
- Building Safety Act Clerk of Works
- Construction stage fire risk assessment
- Fire safety strategy
- Fire and Emergency File
- Conduct third-party reviews
- Monitor projects to ensure compliance and quality
- Develop Safety Cases and Safety Case Reports
- Perform fire door, compartmentation, and fire stopping surveys
- Complete EWS1 forms and fire risk appraisals of external walls (FRAEW)
- Experience in fire safety, fire engineering, and/or fire science.
- Proven track record of maintaining client relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work on and solve a range of projects.
- Chartered Engineer status is desirable, support provided to get you Chartered.
- Background in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
