Level 4 Teaching Assistant

The Trustees are looking to recruit to the post of Level 4 Teaching Assistant Hollinwood Academy NJC 18-22: £32,578 - £34,811 per annum (full time equivalent) Actual Salary range pro rata: £ 27,863 - £29,773 per annum SEN Allowance (£1,590 per annum) Commencing as soon as possible Hollinwood Academy is part of the New Bridge Multi Academy Trust. Hollinwood Academy provides a broad and balanced curriculum that enables children and young people from reception to Key Stage 4 to access creative learning opportunities tailored to meet their individual needs. We have worked hard to continue to be at the forefront of successful, innovative curriculum design, with overall breadth and balance, which provides children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and speech, language and communication difficulties their full entitlement. We invite applications from experienced and motivated Level 4 Teaching Assistants to join our dynamic, growing and committed staff team. The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience of planning and delivering learning activities across a range of curriculum subject areas
• Specific experience/interest in working with pupils with SEND
• High expectations of young people, and a commitment to raising standards of attainment to ensure that they can achieve their full educational potential
• Experience of developing options and alternatives that will support children and young people to engage in the learning process
• Experience of enhancement of pupil progress and raising attainment and achievement in all pupils
• Experience of current assessment practice and the use of data and pupil progress tracking to ensure that all groups of learners achieve
• Experience of managing challenging behaviour
• The emotional and physical resilience necessary when working with challenging young people with a range of complex needs
• The ability to foster positive relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community
• + The willingness to be a team player who can work effectively with all members of the school team
• Be hardworking, organised and proactive in their own professional development.

Although based initially at our Hollinwood Academy site, all staff are employed by the MAT and are expected to work at any site within the New Bridge Group.
