The Role:
- Work across multiple products across Ladieswear, Menswear and Childrenswear, across a wide variety of products.
- Schedule & attend fit sessions and write up comments to provide suppliers with completed technical information regarding measurements, tolerances, fitting, workmanship & packaging.
- Work on our PLM system to build a comprehensive database of all Holland Cooper products for the whole company.
- Fitting and developing fit samples so they are in line with the brand aesthetic, meet required high quality and price.
- Checking pre-production and production samples meet the required quality and aesthetic standards.
- Strive for continuous improvement in process and product specification, through technical research, interpretation of market information and quality benchmarking.
- Help build, develop and maintain technical brand manuals, communicating this effectively through the supply chain with factories in the UK, Europe & Far East.
- Ensure seasonal block/spec reviews are arranged to validate blocks and grade rules.
- Build strong relationships internally and externally to bring strength and credibility to the technical team and promote the value of the technical function within the business.
- Alignment with Design to develop product which is fit for purpose with no compromise to quality and fit.
- Communicate with third party testing Q.C institutes to ensure quality standards are achieved β take relevant actions to resolve problems and issues with testing.
- Carry out occasional Q.C Inspections on incoming goods against sealing samples to required standards and resolving any issues.
- Review external AQL inspections to release goods to ship.
- Work to the Critical Path to meet company wide, and supplier specific deadlines and bring product in on time.
- Work with suppliers to continually improve quality and ethical standards.
- Based in our beautiful new Head office in Cheltenham, UK.
- Other duties as required.
About you:
- Within a commutable distance to our Head office in Cheltenham, UK, or willing to relocate.
- Happy with a majority in office role, with adhoc WFH available as required. Due to the fast nature and hands on product role, in office attendance is required.
- Minimum of 3 Years experience.
- Previous experience working for a brand preferable, but not essential.
- Experience in a high-end or luxury fashion environment is highly beneficial.
- Have strong knowledge in product development, fit, engineering to cost and manufacturing standards.
- Experience in Quality Control processes and maintaining high standards.
- A degree or diploma in Fashion, Textiles, Clothing Technology, or a related field is desirable.
