Beauty is transforming fast, and we’re looking for someone with strong commercial trading experience to keep that momentum moving. Our “inside‑out” strategy putting high‑performance skincare with ingestible beauty has delivered a 7% sales uplift in recent trials and brought leading brands like Cetaphil, Aveeno and Noughty into the range.
Responsibilities
- Build a category strategy using data, insights and market knowledge.
- Monitor performance and adjust to hit revenue and margin targets.
- Negotiate with suppliers on margin, marketing support, delivery performance and more.
- Lead promotional planning ensuring profitable growth.
- Review ranges to meet customer needs and keep ahead of the curve.
- Collaborate with marketing, trade planning and digital teams for launches and promotions.
- Manage inventory to avoid stockouts and excess hold.
- Lead and develop the team.
Performance Metrics
- Revenue, margin, stock levels, supplier performance and the impact of promotions and ranges on customers.
Requirements
- Level of experience in retail buying or category management—Beauty experience is a plus but not essential.
- Strong negotiation skills that keep suppliers engaged.
- Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
- Confidence and autonomy in decision‑making.
- Use of numbers to guide trading decisions, beyond presentation.
- Ability to build rapport with suppliers and internal teams.
