As a Senior Product Designer, you will be joining our Design & Research Team in the Tech division of Holland & Barrett. This role will focus specifically on designing new personalised experiences to support customers wherever they are in their wellness journey, with a specific focus on the H&B native app. You will be part of an exciting, fast-paced product design team, working closely with other talented designers, product managers, researchers, analysts, and stakeholders. Putting the customer first, your work will be grounded in empathy, drawing upon user feedback through research and testing. You will carefully analyse qualitative and quantitative data to understand who our customers are, how they behave, and what problems and needs they have. Using this information, you will design seamless, conversational experiences that help customers find the right products and support. You will also be responsible for effectively communicating your designs with product managers and engineers to ensure that what is built is accurate, innovative, and high quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing, testing, and evolving personalised wellness journeys that help customers achieve their health goals, drive customer retention, conversion, and satisfaction.
  • Using generative AI tools (e.g. Lovable, Figma Make, and others) to rapidly ideate, explore concepts, and prototype new conversational experiences.
  • Analysing customer journeys and mapping out user flows for current and new conversational features.
  • Analysing qualitative and quantitative data to better inform design decisions and priorities.
  • Understanding technical dependencies and requirements to help produce informed solutions.
  • Building high-quality wireframes and prototypes for user testing, A/B testing, and Agile development workstreams.
  • Communicating interaction design through technically detailed wireframes and prototypes.
  • Ensuring Holland & Barrett experiences are accessible for all users, taking an ‘Inclusive Design' approach.
  • Crafting high quality scalable components and documenting all functional requirements to create a seamless engineering handover.
  • Maintaining and helping to evolve our Design System in line with Holland & Barrett brand guidelines.
  • Supporting UAT (user acceptance testing) and taking responsibility for the quality of the end-user experience, working closely with cross-functional partners.

Qualifications:

  • Expert user in Figma.
  • Proven experience designing intuitive, seamless experiences that solve customer problems.
  • Experience designing for native applications (e.g. iOS or Android).
  • Strong background in UI design and the ability to create beautiful, intuitive interfaces in high fidelity.
  • Ability to prototype and design interactions using Figma, Overflow, or similar.
  • A collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills and a team-first attitude.
  • Ability to bring together, align teams and stakeholders through design thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present to diverse audiences.
  • An online portfolio of work demonstrating related experience.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and knowledge of UX best practice.
  • Understanding of ecommerce shopping behaviours.
  • Experience of Agile development, A/B testing and multivariate testing.
  • A good understanding of engineering technologies and how designs come to life in the engineering process.
