The Role
Are you an experienced Engineer with knowledge of both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering? An eye for Continuous Improvement and the desire to drive change? Keen for an exciting opportunity to join the largest UK Health and Wellness Retailer?
As our Engineer, you will be responsible for both installations and maintenance of bottling and bagging machinery requiring both Electrical and Mechanical knowledge for this multifaceted role. You will champion Health and Safety in line with current legislation and company policies/procedures.
Key Tasks Include:
- Reactive and Planned maintenance on a range of Packaging, Filling, Labelling and Sealing Machinery.
- Electrical and Mechanical maintenance of machinery.
- Ensuring the smooth and efficient running of machinery and equipment.
- Effective communication regarding equipment between colleagues and the production/warehouse teams.
- Continuous improvement activities and projects to maximise productivity and efficiency.
- To ensure that Health & Safety and GMP requirements are met by ensuring that all plant and equipment is maintained to a safe and effective operating standard.
- Providing rapid and effective Engineering support.
The Person
To be successful, we would like you to show us that you have:
- Knowledge of PLC's or other such software.
- Understand PPM Schedules and standards for all machinery.
- Able to read wiring diagrams and follow them to fault find and resolve issues.
- The ability to remain calm in pressured environments.
- Integrity and ability to react and think fast to reduce downtime.
- Good listening skills to understand issues and faults.
- Conversant with all modern standards.
