At Holland & Barrett, we are a 200-year-old startup in the middle of a major digital evolution. As a fully cloud-native organisation, we now operate a growing ecosystem of internal systems, partner integrations, and customer-facing platforms. To support this at scale, we are building a modern IAM capability from the ground up - and we are looking for an IAM leader to own it.
About the Role
This is a greenfield IAM role with real scope. You will define how identity works across the business - from employees and partners to customers and privileged systems. Our ambition is to move beyond basic access control to strong identity governance, with least privilege, secure-by-default access, and frictionless user experience.
The Role
As IAM Manager, you will be the strategic owner of identity and access across Holland & Barrett. You will set the vision, define the roadmap, and lead a team to deliver a scalable, compliant IAM framework that supports both enterprise and customer-facing environments. You will work closely with security, IT, HR, engineering, and business leaders, becoming the go-to authority for all identity-related matters.
What You Will Do
- Define and deliver the enterprise-wide IAM strategy and roadmap
- Build and lead a high-performing IAM team
- Architect and implement IAM solutions covering IAM, CIAM, and PAM
- Own policies for MFA, privileged access, segregation of duties, and least privilege
- Oversee identity lifecycle management for employees, partners, and customers
- Partner with application owners to ensure regular access reviews and certifications
- Select and manage modern IAM tools and platforms
- Ensure IAM controls meet regulatory and compliance requirements
Key Requirement
- Senior-level experience in Identity & Access Management
- Deep knowledge of IAM, PAM, MFA, federation, and identity governance
- Experience delivering IAM solutions across enterprise and customer-facing systems
- Hands-on knowledge of platforms such as Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, CyberArk
- Strong understanding of SAML, OAuth, and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
- A strategic mindset with the ability to turn vision into delivery
Why Holland & Barrett?
- Build an IAM function from scratch with genuine ownership
- Modern, cloud-native environment with strong executive support
- A purpose-driven business focused on health and wellbeing
