Director of Distribution in Burton upon Trent

Location: Hybrid – Burton-on-Trent (minimum two days per week in office) or other Holland & Barrett location.

As our Director of Distribution, you\’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our end-to-end logistics strategy – leading the teams that ensure our products reach customers across the UK and the Netherlands efficiently, sustainably, and on time. You\’ll drive transformation across our supply chain, embedding automation, data‑led decision‑making, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead distribution operations across the UK and NL, optimising warehouse performance, transport efficiency, and overall fulfilment capability.
• Deliver world‑class service levels across B2C and B2B channels through data‑driven planning and automation initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost efficiency, safety, and productivity across all distribution centres.
• Champion a high‑performance culture that empowers teams and fosters collaboration across Supply Chain, Technology, and Commercial functions.
• Own the distribution P&L and lead capital investments in automation and digital innovation.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety standards, promoting a safe and inclusive workplace.
• Build strategic partnerships with vendors, 3PLs, and technology providers to strengthen our fulfilment ecosystem.

About You

• Proven extensive experience in same or similar role – senior leadership in multi‑site distribution or logistics operations, ideally in omni‑channel retail or FMCG.
• Expertise in automation, WMS transformation, and end‑to‑end supply chain management.
• Exceptional communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• A purpose‑driven leader who inspires others and delivers results through collaboration, innovation, and care.
