Role Overview
To support the Senior Itinerary Planner in the delivery of operationally safe, cost effective and efficient ship itineraries for the Carnival UK fleet. The role will develop itinerary concepts for P&O Cruises and Cunard, leading to a final published product, as well as manage berth reservations, identify solutions to berth conflicts and maintain the itinerary planning module of MXP.
Key accountabilities
- Work in collaboration with the Deployment Planning department and Senior Itinerary Planner to ensure the Carnival UK brands are developing commercially appealing itineraries. This includes creating itinerary concepts in MXP, reviewing stakeholder documents and providing feedback based on operational feasibility, as well as building final cruises in MXP which will go live to the business upon publication of the programme.
- Independently manage berth booking requests during the deployment process, sending reservations to port agents and authorities. Track booking progress and present findings to the Senior Itinerary Planner.
- Identify berth conflicts during the deployment process and proactively look for solutions to deliver a commercially appealing itinerary.
- Track all changes made to itineraries prior to publication of the brochure.
- Manage and complete any itinerary programme amendments in MXP accurately and efficiently, ensuring the business always have the most up-to-date itinerary information for planning purposes.
- Communicate with port agents and authorities to gather information required for port assessments and provide the information to the Nautical team in a timely manner so new ports can be assessed for inclusion in future itineraries.
This role is classified as CUK11 and is available on a full-time, 12-month fixed-term basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.
