In our continuous journey of growth and innovation at Carnival UK, we are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to bring fresh insights and expertise to our finance department.
This role is accountable for assisting with the end-to-end accounting and compliance processes associated with the CUK Accounting Team and ensuring that prime entries are accurately accounted for and controlled. Specifically, this role is focussed on the General & Administrative costs which broadly correlates to central overheads. This role will also provide ad-hoc technical accounting advice and project support as required and support initiatives to streamline or automate processes to drive out inefficiencies and improve processes and performance.
This pivotal role will involve:
- Accountable for assigned month end accounting processes, including journal and balance sheet reconciliation preparation and scrutiny
- Ensures accurate financial information is prepared to the required deadlines and with due care and attention
- Ensure areas of accounting judgement are clearly managed, flagged in advance of any movement and simply communicate
- Assists with preparation of deliverables for Corporate, internal & external auditors and any other relevant bodies
This role is positioned at CUK10 level within our organisation and is available on a full-time permanent basis. We offer hybrid work including up to two days from home.

You're looking for an individual who:
- Studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA or already in possession of an AAT or similar professional accounting qualification
- Competent with Microsoft office - especially Excel
- Clear and concise communicator - excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Resilient - ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
