We have seasonal opportunities to join our team. We are looking for qualified and experienced bus drivers who love to work in a customer‑focused setting. You will be part of the frontline driving team, operating the shuttle bus on the road, working on your own initiative and taking ownership of your bus. Your responsibilities include looking after passenger safety and providing a great customer experience.
This is a great opportunity to be part of a team running a fantastic seaside shuttle bus operation at Wells‑Next‑The‑Sea. The shuttle bus service starts for Easter and runs until the end of October. We have two exciting vehicles: the Sigma 7, a state‑of‑the‑art fully electric bus, and the 1951 Leyland Tiger, a classic open‑top bus with a stunning history. The Sigma bus serves as the backbone of the operation, and on the busiest summer days the Tiger bus joins the service.
Responsibilities:- Operate the shuttle bus safely and efficiently.
- Ensure passenger safety and comfort at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with passengers.
- Maintain a professional and calm demeanor under pressure.
- Certificate of Professional Conduct.
- PSV driving licence.
- Experience driving buses (preferred).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to get on well with people.
- Patience, reliability and calmness under pressure.
Pay rate: £16.45 per hour pending 2026 pay review. Various shifts are available throughout the operational season. The role is seasonal and temporary.
