The founding team brings experience from Goldman Sachs, Spotify, Microsoft and Barclays Investment Bank. Holiwise recently raised $1.7M from senior executives at Google, Goldman Sachs, Blackstone, Barclays and others.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build and scale backend services and infrastructure
- Design secure, efficient and scalable data models, APIs and microservices
- Develop high-performance systems with strong emphasis on reliability, logging and observability
- Manage integrations with third-party data providers, travel platforms and internal ML pipelines
- Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, monitoring and deployment processes
- Collaborate with ML engineers to productionise models and build robust data pipelines
- Build and maintain frontend development using React, Next.js, and NodeJS when required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Strong expertise in backend engineering, with focus on Python
- Serious work ethic and attitude
- Exceptional teamwork, communication and analytical skills
- A strong desire to learn and explore new technologies
- Familiarity with GCP, Docker and CI/CD pipelines; comparable tooling experience also considered
- Excellent debugging, testing and optimisation abilities
- Experience working with RESTful and streaming APIs
