Responsibilities

  • Support with routines such as preparing meals, promoting healthy activities, attending appointments.
  • Safeguarding the wellbeing of our young people.
  • Promoting positive outcomes by ensuring care plans are adhered to.
  • Encourage independence and life-skills development.
  • Maintaining cleaning standards within the home by carrying out daily tasks.
  • Ensuring daily reports are accurately completed.
  • Assess and respond to risks, recording concerns accurately.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and de-escalation strategies.
  • Work as part of a team, modelling professional boundaries and consistent child-centred practice.
  • Multi-agency working with social workers, schools, health professionals, and families.
  • Remain calm under pressure and respond confidently to challenging behaviour.
  • Communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications

  • Hold, or are working towards, a Level 2 Diploma in Children's Residential Care (desirable).
  • Are available for full-time hours.
  • Bring previous experience or transferable skills.
  • Hold a driving licence (advantageous but not essential).
