We’re looking for a practical and reliable Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep of our hotel.
You’ll play a key role behind the scenes, ensuring everything from guest rooms to public areas is well maintained, safe and fully operational.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll support both preventative and reactive maintenance, helping to deliver a high-quality environment that enhances the overall guest experience.
About the Role
You’ll support the day-to-day maintenance of the hotel, ensuring all areas remain functional, safe and well presented.
Key responsibilities include
- Carrying out a range of maintenance tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, decorating and minor electrical work.
- Responding promptly to maintenance issues across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
- Supporting preventative maintenance programmes to ensure equipment and facilities remain in good working order.
- Conducting regular safety checks, including fire alarm testing and compliance checks.
- Identifying and escalating any safety risks or defects promptly.
- Working collaboratively with all departments to support smooth hotel operations.
