We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Manager to lead all maintenance activity across the hotel. From day-to-day repairs to long-term projects, you’ll ensure the property is well maintained, compliant and fully operational, creating a seamless experience for guests and colleagues alike. You’ll take full ownership of the maintenance function, leading your team and managing contractors to deliver high standards, strong performance and long-term asset value. This role reports to the Hotel Manager.
About the Role
You’ll lead the maintenance function, ensuring the hotel environment is safe, compliant and consistently maintained to a high standard. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the hotel is safe, functional and well maintained across all guest and back‑of‑house areas.
- Leading the maintenance team, providing clear direction, support and development.
- Planning and delivering preventative maintenance programmes and reactive repairs.
- Managing maintenance projects, repairs and refurbishments with minimal disruption to guests.
- Conducting regular inspections to ensure standards, safety and compliance requirements are met.
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety, Fire Life Safety and statutory regulations.
- Managing contractor relationships to ensure quality, cost control and compliance.
- Overseeing budgets, costs and maintenance activity to deliver value for money.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activity, compliance checks and equipment performance.
About You
You’re a hands‑on leader with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance. You take pride in high standards and know how to lead a team to deliver them consistently. We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Proven experience in a Maintenance Manager or similar leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge across general maintenance disciplines.
- A solid understanding of health, safety and compliance regulations.
- Experience managing budgets, contractors and maintenance programmes.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate and develop a team.
- A proactive and solutions‑focused mindset, able to anticipate and resolve issues quickly.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across departments.
- A positive, can‑do attitude and a commitment to high standards.
