We’re looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Leisure Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our Leisure Club. You’ll be at the heart of the member experience, ensuring the club is clean, safe and engaging while delivering service that keeps members coming back.
Reporting to the Leisure Club Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting both operational excellence and a positive, inclusive environment.
About the Role
You’ll support the delivery of a high-quality leisure experience, ensuring safety, service and standards are always maintained.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of a positive and engaging Health & Leisure Club experience for members and guests.
- Conducting member inductions and fitness programmes to promote safe and effective use of facilities.
- Ensuring all areas of the club are clean, tidy and welcoming at all times.
- Completing daily and weekly safety checks in line with company standards.
- Monitoring use of facilities to ensure safe operation and adherence to club rules.
- Supporting membership growth through engagement, retention and local initiatives.
- Carrying out stock control and supporting retail or secondary revenue opportunities.
- Following all health, safety and hygiene procedures, including pool safety and emergency protocols.
About You
You’re energetic, approachable and passionate about delivering a great experience. You enjoy working with people and take pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment.
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within leisure, fitness or hospitality.
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with members and guests.
- A proactive, positive and can-do attitude.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail, particularly around safety and cleanliness.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for health, fitness and guest wellbeing.
- Recognised Pool Responder and First Aid certificates are an advantage.
