To support the maintenance team in ensuring the hotel’s facilities, rooms, and equipment are maintained in a safe, functional, and presentable condition, contributing to an excellent guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
- Carry out basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair tasks
- Respond promptly to maintenance issues and guest requests
- Conduct routine inspections and report faults or safety concerns
- Support planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules
- Assist and supervise external contractors when required
- Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Maintain tools and maintenance storage areas
- Record completed work and report outstanding issues to the Maintenance Manager
- Provide flexible cover including weekends or evenings as required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in hotel or facilities maintenance preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance work
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills with a guest-focused approach
- Awareness of health and safety regulations
