Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to oversee the hotel’s operations during the night shift. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the hotel, managing the night team, and delivering exceptional guest service in line with IHG standards. This role is key in ensuring the security, safety, and comfort of our guests while managing overnight procedures, including financial reconciliations and operational duties.

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to oversee the hotel’s operations during the night shift. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the hotel, managing the night team, and delivering exceptional guest service in line with IHG standards. This role is key in ensuring the security, safety, and comfort of our guests while managing overnight procedures, including financial reconciliations and operational duties.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring a seamless check-in and check-out experience.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints efficiently and professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Maintain IHG brand standards in customer service and guest interactions.
Monitor guest feedback and take proactive measures to enhance the overnight experience.
Operations & Management
Supervise and support the night team, including reception, housekeeping, and security staff.
Oversee the completion of the night audit, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
Ensure all hotel systems and procedures are followed, including end-of-day reporting and reconciliation.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations, including early morning breakfast setups.
Safety & Security
Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff during nighttime operations.
Conduct regular security checks and fire safety inspections.
Act as the hotel’s emergency response coordinator, handling any incidents professionally and in line with hotel policies.
Monitor CCTV and liaise with external security providers if needed.
Team Leadership & Training
Lead and motivate the night team, ensuring high levels of performance and engagement.
Train and support team members in hotel procedures and customer service excellence.
Conduct briefings and ensure clear communication between shifts.
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience as a Night Manager, Duty Manager, or in a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of front office operations, night audits, and financial procedures.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle emergency situations and make quick, effective decisions.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating a team.
Knowledge of Opera property management systems.
Familiarity with IHG brand standards is an advantage.
Additional Information
This is a full-time, permanent night shift role in a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Please note that we do not provide visa sponsorship for the advertised positions.
