The role
Our Leisure Club Assistants support in providing a successful Health & Fitness offering to members and guests, promoting and supporting behavioural change in achieving fitness goals and the benefits of healthy living. The role reports directly to the Leisure Club Manager and is part of a team based from the Leisure Club in our attractive hotel.
Other businesses may call this role Leisure Centre Assistant, Sports Centre Assistant, Wellness Club Assistant, Fitness Assistant.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring the club is always presented in the appropriate condition, completing the correct daily, weekly and monthly checks.
- Achieving new member sales, renewals and net membership growth metrics.
- Supporting the Club Management Team with local marketing initiatives to drive new member sales, membership headcount and the club’s position in the community.
- Demonstrating a pro‑active approach to Health & Safety and supporting the Club Management Team regarding the Sustainable Safety Group audit.
- Undertaking cash handling duties and submitting to hotel finance.
What you’ll bring to the team

Qualifications
- Pool Water Safety Qualification (Pool Responder)
- First Aid at Work Qualification
- CIMSPA fitness professional qualification Level 2 or above
- Health & Fitness / Leisure Industry Qualification Level 3 or above
