At Holiday Inn Guildford, we’re proud of our vibrant Open Lobby & Bar and our thriving meetings & events operation—15 versatile rooms hosting up to 180 guests. The role
You’ll own the end‑to‑end F&B experience—restaurant, bar, terrace, room service and event catering—setting the pace for service, standards and commercial performance. You’ll be present on the floor, sharp on the numbers, and inspiring with your coaching. Our guests should feel the difference the moment they take a seat.
What you’ll lead & deliver
- Guest‑obsessed service: Create memorable moments across breakfast, lunch, dinner and events—consistently, at pace, and with warmth.
- Commercial results: Drive P&L performance, menu engineering, margin management and cost control.
- People & culture: Recruit, train and develop a diverse team; build a high‑trust, high‑feedback culture where everyone grows and guests notice.
- Standards & safety: Champion IHG brand standards, food safety (HACCP), licensing, and health & safety—no compromises.
- Events excellence: Partner with Sales/Events to deliver seamless conferences, banquets and celebrations in our Academy meeting spaces.
Ideal Candidate
- A proven track record leading multi‑outlet hotel F&B (restaurant, bar and M&E).
- Strong commercial acumen: forecasting, rota planning, GP, labour %, and cost control.
- Hands‑on leadership—calm under pressure, visible on the floor, great communicator.
- Creativity and curiosity: you care about food trends, guest behaviours and brand experience.
