As our Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you'll deliver this through assisting with the management of all aspects of the Food & Beverage Function (Covering our Restaurant, Bar, Room Service, and Conference & Events). What will your key responsibilities and duties be:
We are looking for a professional Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to be responsible for managing all F&B operations and for delivering an excellent guest experience. The successful candidate will be able to forecast, plan and manage all F&B orders, staff, and finance. The goal is to maximize sales and revenue through customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all F&B and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Drive F&B Guest satisfaction score in Tripadvisor and within IHG Brand
- Design exceptional menus, purchase goods and continuously make necessary improvements
- Identify customers' needs and respond proactively to all of their concerns
- Lead F&B team by attracting, recruiting, training and appraising talented personnel
- Establish targets, KPIs, schedules, policies and procedures
- Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis on motivation and teamwork
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- Report on management regarding sales results and productivity
Requirements and skills:
- Proven food and beverage management experience
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Mastery in delegating multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Up to date with food and beverages trends and best practices
- Ability to manage personnel and meet financial targets
- Guest-oriented and service-minded
- Culinary school diploma or degree in food service management or related field

What we are looking for:
- Previous management experience as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, or Senior Food & Beverage Supervisor or other similar roles, ideally from a branded hotel background, with a strong knowledge of Food Service.
- A good knowledge of Food Safety Standards.
- Experience in supporting training processes, including delivering training and maintaining training records are essential for this role;
- Proactive, composed, enthusiastic, approachable, able to build strong rapport with guests and managers, and able to motivate your team under pressure;
- Excellent communication skills in all aspects; good organisational and administrative skills with an eye for detail.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
