We are now recruiting an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at our newly acquired and refurbished IHG Brand, Holiday Inn Bloomsbury Hotel with 317 rooms. It’s a lively place to be, offering a Starbucks ground floor coffee bar, Media Lounge & co-working space area and the Stylish Artful Critic Bar, 13 Meeting Rooms and 1 Ballroom.

Putting our guests at the heart of everything you do, you make it your mission to ensure that you and your team deliver an exceptional guest experience and memorable stay. You will be supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the food & beverage operations and ensuring high standards of service, compliance to health and safety practices, whilst maximising guest satisfaction consistently on each shift.

Key Duties:
  • Oversee Bar services and maintain responsibility for beverages in these spaces, ensuring that all functions run smoothly, and customer requirements are met.
  • Liaise regularly with F&B Manager and operational teams both front of house and back of house on departmental performance and that they are updated on information or issues.
  • Receive and respond to all customer feedback ensuring satisfaction regularly ensuring all guest feedback is dealt with in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Take responsibility for stock ordering and inventory for each outlet, ensure that all equipment and materials are ready for service.
  • Review daily sales and beverage costs and track against budget, plan and forecast future sales and revenue opportunities.
What we’d like from you:
  • Previous experience gained as Head Bartender or Assistant Bar Manager within a fast-paced environment with a passion for all things food and beverage.
  • A Passion for hospitality – you are all about creating memorable experiences that leaves our guests wanting to come back again and again.
  • Personable and engaging able to build rapport easily, with great communication skills both with internal departments and guests alike.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Not afraid to roll up your sleeves you can multi-task and also adapt to changing priorities, keeping a calm approach when under pressure.
  • You will be a natural leader, with the ability to motivate, develop and coach the teams skills to reach their full potential.
