We are looking for a creative, visionary leader to shape the next chapter at this charming hotel, combining 17th-century features with thoroughly modern facilities, nestled in the Kent countryside. This is a role for someone who enjoys developing a business, building momentum and creating a culture where people feel supported, trained and inspired to deliver their best every day.
With a solid understanding of hotel operations, you will lead from the front, inspiring and supporting your team to deliver outstanding experiences at every stage of the guest journey. Creative thinking, commercial drive and a genuine commitment to developing, supporting and inspiring your team will serve you well as you lead this fantastic property. This role reports to the Regional General Manager.
You are responsible for overseeing the smooth running of day-to-day operations while driving the hotel’s commercial performance and long-term success. Guiding and nurturing your team, you ensure all revenue, guest satisfaction and brand targets are met.
- Managing budgets and controlling expenditure
- Recruiting, training and managing hotel employees
- Developing the team of committed HODs, preparing them for their next step, while ensuring a succession plan is in place for each role
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and licensing laws, as well as maintaining property and amenities
- Continuously improving business operations through standard procedures, maximising revenue and monitoring employee performance
- Identifying opportunities to grow revenue, strengthen the hotel’s local reputation and maximise the potential of every department

The successful applicant will be offered a role subject to eligible Right to Work and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. This role also requires the successful candidate to hold (or be willing to obtain) a personal licence and act as the Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS). The company will cover the cost, and your consent will be required before appointment.
