About
We’re looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented M&A Analyst to support the execution of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives. This role will be instrumental in evaluating potential opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and supporting the end-to-end deal process. The successful candidate will be part of a day-to-day cross-function M&A deal team and will work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, strategy, and operations to drive value-creating transactions.
The Role
By joining our team you’ll:
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including valuation models (and the use of valuation techniques e.g. DCF, IRR)
- Support the preparation of investment cases, business plans, and synergy assessments. You’ll work closely with a dedicated cross-functional M&A team
- Perform sensitivity analysis and scenario modelling to assess risks and opportunities
- Assist in the due diligence process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
- Analyse financial statements, business performance, and key risk areas
- Support deal structuring, assessing validity of upfront payment versus earn out scenarios
- Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments
- Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets based on strategic fit
- Monitor M&A activity and provide insights to senior leadership
- Support the preparation of presentations and materials for internal approvals and Board discussions
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to integrate acquired businesses effectively
- Support the financial and operational integration of newly acquired businesses
- Track deal performance against original investment assumptions
- Identify opportunities for value creation post-acquisition
