We’re looking for a People Partner (ER Focus) who can bring strong employee relations expertise and is in or ready to step into a partnering role, helping us support, challenge and enable our managers to create high‑performing teams. Our People Team sits at the heart of the business. We shape the conditions for success from how we support managers through complex people matters, to how we build a culture where people can do their best work. This role plays a key part in that – combining hands‑on ER delivery with a developing partnering approach, working collaboratively across the Group to drive great outcomes for both our people and the business.
By joining our team, you’ll:
- Lead and manage employee relations cases across the Group (absence, performance management, conduct and disciplinary & grievance), ensuring fair, consistent and pragmatic outcomes
- Provide clear, practical advice to managers, building their confidence and capability to handle people matters effectively
- Focus on outcomes, not process, navigating situations with agility to do what’s right for the individual and the business
- Build strong, trusted relationships with managers, becoming a go‑to partner for people‑related challenges
- Take ownership of case tracking system, triaging cases efficiently and identifying priorities and next steps
- Spot trends and themes across ER activity, using insight to improve how we work
- Contribute to People projects that enhance culture, engagement and employee experience
- Work closely with the wider People Team, sharing knowledge and continuously improving how we support the business
- Have the opportunity to grow your impact, develop your judgement and build your partnering capability with support from an experienced and collaborative team around you
What you can bring to our team:
- Strong experience in an ER‑focused or generalist People/HR role
- Solid knowledge of employment law and best practice, including equality and diversity
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, coach and influence managers
- Confidence in handling a range of ER cases, including more complex situations
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure
- A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a real sense of ownership
- Sound judgement with the ability to balance people needs, business priorities and risk
- A collaborative approach, understanding the impact of your work across the wider team and business
- A passion for how technology, especially AI, can be used to improve people processes and enhance the employee experience
