Holdsworth Foods is a leading food distribution business with a strong reputation for exceptional service and high-quality products. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an additional dynamic, results-driven, and service-led Account Manager to strengthen our team.
The Role
- Open new accounts and build the account base to ensure volume sales across the range of the Company's products to existing customers, thus achieving sales targets and Company profit margins.
- This role will cover the Bath and Somerset area and will involve regular travel throughout the area with occasional trips to depots to attend sales team meetings.
- Develop new business and strengthen existing accounts through new products, menu marketing, and promotional activity.
- Deliver efficient, economical territory coverage to meet sales and profit targets.
- Confidently represent the full product range, pricing structures, and discounts.
- Plan daily activities to maximise customer visits and profitable route planning.
- Maintain accurate customer records, including sales history and relevant details.
- Stay informed on account credit status and liaise with Accounts as necessary.
- Monitor competitor activity and report market intelligence.
- Maintain strong communication with the Tele Sales team – teamwork is key.
- Handle ad-hoc tasks including attending exhibitions, investigating customer complaints, and supporting special projects.
Personal Specification
- Demonstrated success in consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets, with a proven track record of high performance in a sales-driven environment.
- Two years Foodservice sales or Food Catering background.
- Good Communication and Presentation Skills.
- Computer Literate and Proficient.
- The ability to multi-task effectively, prioritise workloads and work to deadlines.
- Interest in food/food trends.
