Holdsworth Foods is one of the UKs largest independent foodservice distributors. We have a real passion for what we do and our business is built on the quality of service we provide. We are looking for a Class 2 Driver to work from our Grimsby Depot. This role will ensure that you deliver our fantastic range of products to our customers at the right time, while maintaining food hygiene standards. The successful applicant will pride themselves on being a representative of the company and ensure that customer satisfaction is at the forefront.
The role is based on 5 days a week which may include a Saturday (37.5 hours), generally working an 8 hour shift starting around 6am, however the start time may vary. The role offers a weekly bonus (after successful training) where you can earn up to £2000 per year, staff discount, pension, death in service healthcare cashplan and an employee assistance programme. You must have a CPC licence.
Duties will include:
- Carrying out relevant safety and maintenance checks, including temperature checks;
- Adherence to all relevant driver legislations;
- Deliver products inline with the designated route;
- Pick the order on the invoice and from the products loaded on the lorry;
- Unload the goods, taking care not to damage any products and place where possible in the customers designated place;
- Check the goods with the customer for the correct products and quantities;
- Make sure vehicle is left safe and secure while making delivery;
- You are responsible for the vehicle and the goods carried from the start to the end of your working day.
