We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to work in our Despatch team at our Tideswell depot.

Working as a Warehouse Operative, you will be joining a team who ensure that our customers receive the right products and support in the delivery of high levels of customer service.

You must be prepared to work in a Coldstore environment.

The role offers a pension scheme, death in service, cycle to work scheme, healthcare cash plan scheme and staff discount.

The working hours are 6.00pm to 2.00am with a 30 minute unpaid break (37.5 hours per week), Sunday to Friday (with a day off in the week).

Duties includes:
To pick orders from picking sheets, with attention to product and quantities
To be familiar with and able to identify the products stocked.

To have a good working knowledge of the set-up of the warehouse and of the correct storage areas of all the various items stocked.

To face labels outwards for double checking purposes
To take care when loading and unloading cages
To use the ladders and harnesses when working off ground level.

To use pallet trucks/fork truck in a safe manner, and only if valid certification for the machine is held.

To report any handling equipment faults immediately to the Department Manager or his/her Deputy.

Nominated double checkers are to check cages for products and quantities against picking sheets
Picking sheets must be signed for by the picker, double checker and stacker for traceability
To load the cages onto the correct vehicle, taking extreme care not to damage any of the goods
To load dry goods plus meat orders onto the correct vehicles taking care to load in such a way as to avoid any damage, spillage whilst in transport.

To keep the warehouse clean and tidy at all times. xiskglj
