We are looking for an experienced and reliable Albanian-speaking Support Worker to support an adult male in the community. This role involves supporting the client to attend appointments, access the community safely, and regain confidence and independence during recovery. The ability to speak Albanian is essential in order to support effective communication and build rapport.
The role will include:
- Supporting the client to attend hospital, medical, therapy, and rehabilitation appointments
- Assisting with safe community access and travel
- Providing practical and emotional support during outings and appointments
- Supporting with day-to-day structure, routine, and community engagement
- Monitoring pain, fatigue, mobility, and general wellbeing during activities
- Encouraging independence while providing support where needed
- Working alongside family members and professionals involved in the client’s rehabilitation
- Maintaining clear records and acting within professional boundaries at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience supporting adults with orthopaedic injuries, reduced mobility, rehabilitation needs, or physical health conditions
- Be fluent in Albanian and able to communicate confidently in English
- A calm, reliable, and professional approach
- Good communication and observation skills
- An understanding of risk, safeguarding, and community-based support
- The ability to adapt support according to pain, fatigue, and mobility levels
- Previous experience supporting clients following serious injury or road traffic accidents is desirable
