Our client is a very successful, unique, international engineering company who manufacture bespoke machinery for a large portfolio of customers throughout the UK. The operation in Thetford employs 80 dedicated and loyal staff and the company is riding high at the moment with an annual turnover of over 20 million pounds per year.
A part-time handy person is required to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks in and around the numerous premises. This role requires practical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across multiple trades.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform general repairs and maintenance (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
- Fix broken fixtures
- Garden maintenance
- Install and repair equipment such as shelving and fittings
- Paint and decorate surfaces as required
- Maintain outdoor areas (basic landscaping, gutter cleaning, etc.)
The role would suit someone with the following:
- Proven experience as a handy person or in a similar maintenance role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving skills
Part-time - 3 days per week (flexible)
