Our client is an established, international food-related (FMCG) manufacturer based in the Thetford area. The company has 8 manufacturing operations in the UK and Europe and is one of the leading manufacturers in its field with an annual turnover of £40 million, employing a loyal, dedicated and motivated team of around 80 staff.
A further Multi‑skilled Shift Engineer is required to join the engineering team of 6 (4 on 4 off, 12‑hour shifts). Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Multi‑skilled engineer will be responsible for the following across the site:
- Providing both Reactive & Planned Preventative Maintenance
- Maintaining a variety of production machinery including conveyors, packaging equipment, weighing machinery, bagging machinery, labelling equipment & ovens
- Fault finding both electrically (PLC fault‑finding) & mechanically
- Assisting in the installation of new machinery
You will have experience working within a relevant factory environment with the following skills/qualifications:
- Multi‑skilled maintenance engineering experience
- Relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications
- Fault‑finding ability both electrically & mechanically
