Our client is a thriving, engineering company who manufacture, maintain and service a variety of machinery, parts and components for customers all over the world. Utilising the latest equipment and technology they have an enviable reputation in the engineering sector, manufacturing to the highest quality. They employ around 90 staff at the site in King's Lynn and have a dynamic and friendly culture within the company. Due to continued success a further CAD draughtsperson is required to join the machine shop team. You will be responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering duties including researching, prototyping and designing parts and components to be machined in the machine shop. Duties: * ‘Cradle to grave’ oversight of machining jobs/Projects including quotation/ Estimation. * Modelling & Reproducing Drawings of Parts/Assemblies from Customer Drawings/Sketches in AutoCAD / Inventor while applying correct tolerances and or Geometric Tolerancing. * Measuring Supplied Parts/ Samples and producing Drawings, including Reverse Engineering. * Liaising with customers regarding requirement and technical details. * Sourcing Engineering Technical data (Seals, Bearings, Bought in Parts, Materials Etc) * Engineering Calculations (Density of materials Etc, Motor requirements, Sealing solutions) * Performing DFM/Feasibility assessments (can we make it / how do we make it, is it worth us making it) * Providing 3D CAM model Data to Machine Shop The ideal candidate will have a machining background with good CAD design experience Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm * Salary to suit experience * Overtime 1.5 times * 25 days plus bank holidays * Contributory pension scheme
