This opportunity
The role is 40% audit vs 60% accounts preparation, you have at least 30% external audit exposure and will have led on audit.
My Client are looking for a newly or recently qualified ACA/ACCA to join the audit and accounts team based at their Head Office in Redbridge. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for the next step, post qualification, to carve out a career in a well-established and ambitious practice who are looking to grow. This is a dual role split between SME Accounts and Audit with certain times of the year more audit driven.
For the right candidate the role will offer variety, the opportunity to gain experience in many areas across the varied services offered by the practice.

The role is client facing and will require very strong interpersonal and communication skills both with our team and clients.
Overview of duties
Accounts and Corporate Tax
Involved in the delivery of accounts and tax compliance services to small and micro businesses.
Reporting to client managers, the focus of the role is to assist in the delivery of timely and informative financial information to business owners.
As well as helping them meet their compliance obligations in the preparation of statutory accounts for submission to Companies House and HMRC.
Attending client meetings with managers and Directors to see the job through to conclusion and to gain experience in running client meetings.
Also assisting in the development and training of more junior members of the team.
Audit
They will work directly with the Audit Partners to deliver audit services to range of clients, across sectors.
We have over 75 audit clients ranging from small charities to a Β£100m turnover department store group.
The audit department is ambitious and looking to grow. We offer big firm experience and ambition in a small firm setting.
We can be competitive with larger firms on fees and beat them in terms of service delivery and quality.
The senior will be responsible for managing audit teams and running audits onsite.
Assisting audit partners in finding, targeting and winning new audit clients.
Opportunities to also become involved with the delivery of valued added services to major audit clients, including management accounts, share valuations, due diligence and virtual FD.
The ideal Candidate
- Ideally degree educated, possessing strong Excel, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience using the PCAS audit methodology preferred.
- Experience of Xero, SAGE and Pro-audit are preferred.
- Friendly outgoing person who is keen to learn and take on more responsibility as the practice grows.
Candidates without at least 30% current external audit experience will not be responded to.
