Role Description


The Showroom Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bury St Edmunds. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the showroom, including overseeing the presentation of vehicles, coordinating the sales team, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience from first contact to handover. The Showroom Manager monitors sales performance, supports team members in meeting targets, and ensures that all customer interactions reflect Holden Group's standards of professionalism and care. Daily tasks include managing customer appointments, supervising test drives, handling escalated customer queries, and working closely with service and finance colleagues to provide a seamless end-to-end experience. The role also involves maintaining showroom standards, implementing promotional activities, and contributing to local marketing and events to drive footfall and sales.



Qualifications



  • Strong focus on Customer Service and Customer Experience, with the ability to build trust and long-term relationships.

  • Demonstrated commitment to Customer Satisfaction, including handling feedback and resolving issues effectively.

  • Proven Sales skills within a retail or automotive environment, with experience in achieving and exceeding targets.

  • Experience managing or working in Showrooms, including visual merchandising and maintaining high presentation standards.

  • Effective team leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and coach colleagues.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear written and verbal communication.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to daily operations.

  • Comfort with basic digital tools and dealership systems; prior automotive sector experience is an advantage.

  • Ability to work on-site full time in Bury St Edmunds, including flexibility for weekends and peak trading periods.
