As an IT Field Support Engineer, you’ll be the face of IT support across the business, helping staff overcome day‑to‑day technical challenges and ensuring systems remain operational. Your responsibilities will include:
- Hands‑on Support: Providing 1st and 2nd line technical support for PCs, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Setup & Installation: Configuring and deploying new hardware and software across dealership locations.
- Troubleshooting: Resolving network connectivity issues including Wi‑Fi and cabling, along with software issues across Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Workspace.
- Security & Maintenance: Ensuring systems remain secure, updated, and compliant with the latest security patches.
We are seeking a proactive and technically capable individual with a passion for problem‑solving and customer support.
What You Bring To The Table
- IT Support Experience: Previous experience within a 1st or 2nd line IT support role is essential.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office/365, and basic networking including cabling, routers, and switches.
- Hardware Skills: Comfortable installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and workstation setups.
- Communication Skills: Able to explain technical concepts clearly and confidently to non‑technical colleagues.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence is essential due to travel between dealership sites.
