This permanent, fully on-site role offers the exciting chance to work on diverse projects, ranging from live retail spaces to educational sites, where your work directly impacts local communities. Depending on your specific expertise, your daily collaborative tasks will include:

  • Paver Operation: Safely and precisely operating the paving machinery to maintain a consistent line, level, and material flow.
  • Screed Management: Controlling the depth, width, and crown of the asphalt to ensure a flawless, defect-free finish.
  • Roller Operation: Executing precise patterns to achieve specified compaction and a smooth, high-quality surface.
  • Hand-Lay Artistry: Expertly handling hand-lay sections, tie-ins, and ironwork (manholes/gullies) for seamless transitions.
  • Site Guidance: Safely marshaling asphalt wagons and site plant as the vital eyes and ears in busy off-highway environments.
  • General Crew Contribution: Assisting with site preparation (sweeping, tack-coating, setting out) and keeping all tools and equipment in safe, peak working condition.

Who you are

  • Experienced: You bring a proven track record within a surfacing crew. Whether you are a specialist machine operator or a versatile groundworker, your "blacktop" knowledge is highly valued.
  • Qualified: You hold a mandatory Green or Blue CSCS Card. You also possess CPCS or NPORS tickets for specific plant (such as Paver, Roller, or Skid Steer), and having an NRSWA (Streetworks) qualification is a brilliant advantage.
  • Quality-Focused: You possess a keen eye for detail and a true commitment to "right first time" quality, aiming for zero defects in your workmanship.
